Dr. Seth Greenberg was exactly who we were looking for when searching for a knowledge guitar teacher. Our daughter has been taking guitar lessons from him for about a year and a half and has learned so much. Seth is very knowledgeable in many different types of music and kept our daughter interested and engaged. We choose to have her focus be on learning classical guitar and Seth made it both challenging and fun. He was able to incorporate her favorite pop music and teach her how to play it classically. She was able to learn more then just basic chords but the fundamentals of how to read music and picking each note. I can't recommend Seth enough as a wonderful music instructor!

After noodling with the guitar for over a year, I decided to go with Dr. Seth for my first formal lesson. I couldn’t have been more satisfied. He assessed my knowledge to see what I already knew, and was able to start me at the exact level I needed. I am excited to return for regular lessons. He is super knowledgeable and articulate. He explains concepts and the reasoning behind them very clearly. I felt that I learned more clear and valuable information in one hour with him than from watching 10+ hours of YouTube guitarists. You’ll be glad you took his class.

Dr. Greenberg is a wonderful teacher and a very accomplished musician. He is a very patient and empathic teacher, and is the perfect instructor for all levels and abilities. He helped me to prepare to audition for transferring to the Guitar and Lute Program at University of California, Irvine. If it had not been for his support and encouragement I might not have persisted to actually go and be accepted. He helped me to be more confident, as he is very analytic about what is holding back your best playing. His insight is very unique, intuitive, and sensitive, so I think his feedback has helped me realize subtle things that undermine my best efforts. And, best of all, you get to hear for yourself the difference in your playing. He is very good about bringing your attention to the before and after, and has taken the dread out of having my mistakes recorded. You will be very lucky to take lessons with him, as you are getting the very best instruction for whatever style guitar playing you wish to learn or improve.

I had never taken any guitar lessons before contacting Seth and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by what I was able to learn in such a short amount of time. Seth offers a free initial lesson and from there assessed my skill level and went from there. So I always felt like my time was being used efficiently because I was instantly building off of what I already knew. Seth would also ask me exactly what I wanted to learn and then go about teaching me that. As someone who learned most of what I already knew from YouTube or books I must say it is greatly beneficial to have someone like Seth to sit down with and ask questions. I look forward to working with Seth in the future to get my guitar playing to where I think it could be. I would definitely recommend Seth to people of all skill levels.
