Dr. Seth G is a highly educated and remarkably professional individual with many great insights to share to improve your guitar playing. With his teachings and lessons, I've learned a very practical approach to learning whatever song that I want to play. I've learned how to break down the songs I want to play into an easier arrangement, then add all of the details after practicing a song chunk by chunk, and finally add all of the smaller details down to the nuances. Seth has not only educated me about this approach, but he has guided me through the process meticulously, and he will teach you about the music theory behind what you're learning if you so desire. The flexibility with his days and hours is also something that's worth noting and praising. If this happens to be what you're looking for, I highly recommend you take guitar lessons with Dr. Seth!

I've got previous experience playing jazz on another instrument but was a complete beginner on the guitar. Seth found great ways to combine my knowledge of chord theory with picking up the basics of the fretboard, comping, and soloing. We spent time working on jazz standards as well as classic rock and rock solos. He had tons of knowledge about theory and guitar performance across jazz, funk, and rock. I'd brought a Hal Leonard book I'd been poking through, but we found ways to work on new concepts while learning actual songs, which I found a lot more fulfilling. As a busy new parent, my time for practice has been limited recently, but he found great ways to make lessons productive even if I hadn't done all my homework. I've done lessons both in person and remotely via videoconference, and both worked really well. Even with very limited time for practice, I feel like I picked up a ton in the 18 months I took lessons with Seth and would strongly recommend him to folks looking for guitar instruction.

Seth has been an excellent guitar teacher for my son (now 11) for the last couple of years. They established a good rapport, and Seth is skilled at drawing out his students' musical interests while finding ways to bring in musical theory and keep his students challenged and moving forward. We especially appreciated his versatility in being able to teach fundamentals of bass guitar as well. If you're looking for a talented and professional music teacher for any age, I would wholeheartedly recommend him.

Seth is a wonderful teacher and accomplished musician. I have "played" the guitar for the last several years, just strumming and singing. After searching high and low for a teacher with the necessary skills and methodology to teach the fundamentals of guitar, I finally found what I was looking for with Seth.
In the two months since I started, I've learned more about guitar than in the last few years combined. Can't recommend it highly enough!

I am so glad I found Dr. Seth Greenberg as my music teacher. He is wonderful and has great techniques to teach students ( like me) without learning music before, but in just a few weeks, taking lessons from him, I can play the first movement of Moonlight Sonata on the guitar. Amazing teacher. Thank you for being you as a musician and wholehearted teacher!

I have been a student of music since the fourth grade - clarinet, saxophone, and guitar - and have had many, many music teachers throughout the years. Seth stands out from the rest because he not only loves making great music, he loves teaching and working out the challenges of each student. His knowledge and love of music are expansive (his PhD in musicology speaks to that), and, most importantly, he knows how to translate that knowledge into a language that each student can understand.
There is no reason to look any further for an exceptional musician and teacher - regardless of your age, abilities, or goals.
