Dr. Greenberg is my best guitar teacher ever! He provides constructive/informative lesson. I have significantly developed my guitar skills after I met him. He has Individualized/goal-directed lesson plans regarding each student's unique needs and strengths. He is also patient/supportive enough to wait for students to achieve goals!

Seth is a very talented musician and teacher. In the short time I took lessons, I learned more than I could imagine. But I had to cut it short due to a busy work schedule. But now I have the honor to take my son to the best guitar player and teacher. He's very patient and can't wait for my son to start class. And now, with a new son on the way, he will also attend when he turns of age. Thanks, Seth, and keep up the good work.

Seth Greenberg was my first guitar teacher. He is highly educated in music theory and is a master guitarist. He is the author of a few music theory books. He knows how to communicate with his students, and I think anyone will learn quickly with an instructor of Seth's caliber.
He is a good role model for children and will definitely teach an old dog new tricks as well. I truly think you're missing out if you do not learn guitar from Seth Greenberg.

Last year, we met Seth in Claremont. My daughter took her first lesson, and I thought Seth was an amazing teacher. Sadly, Seth moved…but he was such a good teacher that we had online lessons with him. Seth is so kind, gentle, and has great manners. He is the best teacher we've ever met. My daughter loves Seth as a teacher, too. Sometimes, he comes to Claremont and invites our family to his shows. They are so much fun to watch! Seth will definitely make you want to continue lessons with him, and you will most likely learn guitar much more fun with him.

I've been fortunate to have some excellent guitar instructors over the years, and Dr. Seth Greenberg is definitely among them. When I started lessons with Seth, I told him I was happy with what I had learned so far but needed help in moving beyond what had become a pretty narrow comfort zone. Seth evaluated my playing and then set me on a course of filling in some gaps and then to developing skills that would allow me to play beyond memorized songs. I was becoming much more familiar with the whole fretboard and in how chords could be built quickly and easily anywhere on the fretboard…Overall, Seth is a great instructor. Very knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with.

As one of his students who was a total beginner at the beginning of last summer, believe me when I say Seth is a great choice for those looking to pick up the guitar. Classical guitar wasn't really my cup of tea. So Seth did a great job helping me figure out what aspects of the guitar and music theory I really needed to master in order to be effective at what I do (I play rhythm guitar with a praise team). His lessons are very thorough and well worth it. He's very good about asking you what you are interested in learning, and he's the type of teacher willing to go the extra mile to see his students succeed. For example, our lessons tended to go over once in a while, but Seth generously and cheerfully took the time out of his evenings whenever I had extra questions at the end of lessons.

I took a group guitar class with Seth, and I also took private lessons with him. He adapted well to our needs in the group class and also to my own needs in the private lessons. We worked on reading the music and improvising and worked on both rhythm and lead playing. Seth is well-organized and very knowledgeable about music. My area of interest is Rock and Blues, and he easily answered all my questions. I was able to walk away a better guitar player. Seth is an amazing guitar player -benefit from his experience by taking some lessons!

Seth is a fantastic teacher and musician. From first lessons to mastering jazz improvisation, you cannot find anyone easier to learn from. He has a strong background in both theory and performance and is very accommodating to the needs of the student.

Seth's talents are extensive, and he makes it look so effortless. I first met him during his final years of his completion of his PhD in Musicology. I was working as an event planner for the university and was also the department examination coordinator; I hired Seth on several occasions to provide entertainment for alumni events and faculty dinners. He performed a few times to fulfill his degree requirements, and we also worked together to help prepare other students for their performances. During the many years I have known Seth, he has been completely professional, always punctual, and well-prepared. His easygoing nature puts everyone at ease. Then he performs, and he blows me away every single time. He is also an amazing teacher. Solid in almost every style of music, knowledgeable, patient, and can instruct from ages 6 to 96.
